| Ilya Krasik was born in St Petersburg Russia 1980, and began taking chess lessons at the age of 8. He moved to US at the age of 12, and is a former MA High School Co-champion. | ||
| He has played at MetroWest Chess Club since Feb 2004. He has consistently placed well in the Open sections and qualified for the 2005 Club Championship, placing in the middle with 2/6 pts. | ||
| He recently scored 5.5/6 for clear first under 2200,(1 point ahead of the rest) in Continental Open in Sturbridge July 30 - Aug 1 2005. His rating after Sturbridge is a healthy 2185! | ||
