TD Pool Status
There are a number of factors that go into being able to help as a TD at the club. This page trys to enumerate them so we can assess the amount of risk that the club is under.
The fields are thus explained
|Cert Status||Where the person is in the USCF TD certification process.|
|Swiss-Sys Status||The level of training the person has had in using Swiss-Sys, the pairing program.|
|Has Keys?||The person is on record with the facility as having been issued keys to the facility.|
|Swiss-Sys Ready?||The person feels that they could be left alone to use Swiss-Sys to run an event.|
|Manual Pairing ?||The person feels that they could manually pair an event if necessary.|
|Active Player?||The person is currently active in club play. i.e. they are around|
|Available to TD?||The ability for the person to commit to TDing an event or at least a given round|
|Willing to be on schedule?||The person is willing to TD an event or a night should they be asked. For example, from time to time and sometimes on a regular basis, TDs from other clubs play in our events. Playing at our club is a "night off" where they don't have to be responsible for anything except their own play. The club encourages these other TDs to play without obligation to helping the club and does not bother them about it. Some of our TDs enjoy this luxury at other area clubs as well.|
The listing below is sorted in order of most prepared to least prepared to help the club.
|Green means Fully capable. Won'g get a green unless there are yes's across the board.|
|Yellow means mostly capable but with some areas that need to be addressed. Won't get a yellow without being Certified and being able to pair either manually or by computer.|
|Grey means various levels of skills attained but not yet capable of TDing an MCC event. Poised to move into being a yellow.|
Note: Un-Availability, Non-Active play status or not Willing to go onto the TD schedule generally pushes people into the lower section of the table and removes their color status.
