Harvey Reed

Chess Bio

Harvey Reed started serious chess in the 1990's and lost his first 13 games at Framingham CC (our old name). It took a while to figure out that tactics are important, so now he is a student of CT-ART and is starting to improve.
As a member of MetroWest CC he is the Marketing Director and Clerk, and plays when he is not traveling for work. His last "sweep" 4.0/4.0 was June 2004 in U1400.
In the 2004 Fall North East Chess Getaway he won the U1500 prize in the U1700 section with 3.5/5.0, for a gain of 102 rating points.
